Redwood was established in August 2004 and is the longest established independent estate agent in Redruth. Our all female office is very friendly and approachable and our knowledgeable staff are all honest and open.

Nicola started Redwood in August 2004 after working with a large National Estate Agency chain. Nicola has been valuing since 2000 and has an extensive knowledge of all things property related from mining to mundic! Having built a successful business with an excellent team of ladies, Nicola is always on hand to help with any queries and welcomes any potential buyers, sellers or Landlords into our friendly offices in Green Lane, Redruth for an informal chat. Nicola has a particular ability to resolve complicated property issues and has experience managing long chains.

Natasha Hinds


Natasha has worked for Redwood since January 2014, having come from a strong 10 year sales background. Making the move into property was due to being bitten by the bug when buying her first house! Natasha has a good understanding of the buying and selling process and grew up in the local area she also has extensive knowledge of property in Redruth, Camborne and all surrounding areas. Natasha’s enthusiasm of property shines through on each individual viewing, treating every house big or small with the same amount professionalism and passion.



Mandy has worked for Redwood for eight years, previously working as a mortgage adviser for a National bank and 20 years in sales. Mandy has an excellent local knowledge and is an exceptional sales person with a great ability to build a good rapport with buyers. Matching potential buyers up to their perfect home, her bubbly personality makes every house feel exciting to be in.



Sharon has worked at Redwood since 2011 previously working in sales for over twenty years. Having extensive personal experience regarding buying, selling and renting, Sharon has also managed new builds and renovation projects.
Sharon is Cornish born and bred, she grew up in St Day but has also resided in many other parts of Cornwall. Sharon has an intricate knowledge of Redruth, Camborne and the surrounding areas and can tell you where every shortcut is!

Autumn Statement: Buy-to-let homes face higher stamp duty – BBC news

Buy-to-let landlords and people buying second homes will soon have to pay more in stamp duty, the chancellor has announced.

From April 2016, those in England and Wales will have to pay a 3% surcharge on each stamp duty band.

George Osborne said the new surcharge would raise £1bn extra for the Treasury by 2021.

Landlords reacted angrily to the change, saying it would “choke off” investment in rented properties.

Other changes announced by the chancellor included an extended Help to Buy scheme in London, and more money for the Starter Homes programme.

‘Choke off investment’

The stamp duty surcharge will lift each band by 3%. That means that for properties worth between £125,000 and £250,000, where the stamp duty is 2%, buy-to-let landlords will pay 5%.

For the average buy-to-let purchase of £184,000, that means they will pay an extra £5,520 from April 2016.

Commercial property investors, with more than 15 properties, are expected to be exempt from the new charges.
